Imagine The Room started as a small family business in 1989. Today, we design, build and install custom closets and storage in Kamloops, Edmonton and Lethbridge.
Doug Sherwood — How It Started
Doug Sherwood moved his young family from Vancouver to the Okanagan to start his own closet company. He had been working in the industry and wanted to build a business of his own.
He called it The Closet Company, then soon changed the name to Kamloops Klosets. Over the years, the work grew beyond closets to include pantries, garages, laundry rooms and other spaces around the home. In 2016, the company became Imagine The Room.
Doug’s son Tanner now owns and runs the business.
Tanner Sherwood — Owner & President
Tanner has worked alongside his dad throughout his life. He now runs Imagine The Room and is still hands-on with cabinet design and production programming. He also oversees daily operations and works with the team to improve how jobs move through the shop and into customers’ homes.
Blaine Sherwood — Lethbridge
Blaine is also one of Doug’s sons and grew up working in the business. He wanted to make his home in Alberta and now runs our Lethbridge branch, working with local customers on their closets and storage projects.

Noah Bussiere — Edmonton
Noah started with Imagine The Room as our shop foreman in Kamloops. When he wanted to move closer to home in Edmonton, he started a branch there. He now runs our Edmonton operation, drawing on his years of building cabinetry and running the shop.
Our Team
Our designers, sales staff, shop crew and installers handle the work that goes into each project, from measuring your space to fitting the finished cabinets.
We serve homeowners and builders in Kamloops, Edmonton and Lethbridge, as well as Merritt, the Shuswap and surrounding communities.
